The Only Way to Arrive at Niagara Falls Through the Air
Zipline to the Falls is a 2,200-foot descent run by WildPlay from the Grand View Marketplace on the Niagara Parkway. Four lines run side by side, so you can fly with three other people rather than watch them go. You leave a platform above the gorge, drop over the Niagara River, pass the American Falls on your left and finish near the base of the Horseshoe.
It is hands free and fully guided, which is the part that surprises people. There is no brake to work, no rope to grip and nothing to remember. Staff clip you in at the top and catch you at the bottom, and the whole job in between is to look. WildPlay describe it as an experience for the hesitant as much as the thrill seeker, and the age floor of seven, with no upper limit, is the clearest sign of what kind of ride it is.
What it gives you that nothing else here does is the approach. Every other viewpoint at Niagara puts you somewhere and leaves you there. This one moves you through the gorge toward the falls at speed, on the Canadian side, with the water getting larger in front of you the whole way down. It is seasonal, it is weather dependent, and it is over quickly.

✨ Why the Zipline Is Worth the Money

You fly toward the falls, not past a view of them. The line runs down the gorge with the American Falls on one side and the Horseshoe ahead, so the water grows in front of you for the whole 2,200 feet. No other attraction on either side of the border moves you through that space.

Hands free and fully guided, so there is nothing to get wrong. You are clipped in at the top and caught at the bottom. There is no braking, no steering and no technique, which is why WildPlay put the floor at seven years old and no ceiling above it.

📍 Find It on the Parkway
WildPlay run the zipline from 5920 Niagara Parkway, at the Grand View Marketplace, which is downstream of the Horseshoe on the Canadian side rather than up on Clifton Hill. It is a walk north along the Parkway from Table Rock, or a WEGO stop. Check in happens at the marketplace, not at the platform.
💡 Phone ahead on the day if the weather looks poor. WildPlay publish a number for operating conditions, because wind and storms close the lines.

🎟️ Pick Your Ticket, Which Decides Your Wait
There are two ways to buy. The Express ticket is dearer and cuts the wait to roughly 20 to 30 minutes. General Admission costs less and runs roughly 90 to 120 minutes. WildPlay state plainly that neither wait is guaranteed, so both are an estimate rather than a promise.
⚠️ On a summer Saturday the gap between those two tickets is most of an afternoon. If your day is tight, the Express ticket is what you are actually buying.

🦺 Harness Up and Walk Out
Staff fit the harness and do the checks, then you walk out to the launch platform above the gorge. There are four lines running side by side, so a group of up to four goes together rather than one at a time. Nothing is handed to you to operate.
💡 Anything loose gets left behind: phones, hats, sunglasses. Souvenir photos and video are sold on site, which is the practical alternative to filming it yourself.

🪂 The Flight, 2,200 Feet Down the Gorge
You step off and the line does the rest. The river opens underneath, the American Falls pass on one side, and the Horseshoe grows in front of you until you land near its base. It is hands free the whole way, so there is nothing to do but look at it.
💡 Look ahead rather than down. The falls are the thing that gets bigger, and the flight is short enough that you only get one pass at seeing it.

🚶 The Walk Back Up
You land at the bottom of the gorge near the Horseshoe, are unclipped by staff, and make your own way back up to the Parkway. That return is on foot and uphill, and it is worth knowing about before you book if walking is difficult.
⚠️ Niagara Parks lists the attraction as partially accessible rather than fully. If mobility is a concern, ask WildPlay directly before buying.

Eight Things Worth Knowing Before You Fly
