Bridal Veil Falls

The Bridal Veil Falls is located on the American side of Niagara Falls, just upstream of the larger Horseshoe Falls. It gets its name from the way the water appears to be a delicate veil as it tumbles over the edge of the falls. The falls have a height of approximately 181 feet and a width of about 56 feet. It is fed by the Niagara River, which flows from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario.

One of the most popular ways to experience the Bridal Veil Falls is by taking a boat tour that takes you right up to the base of the falls. These boat tours, called “Maid of the Mist” tours, provide visitors with a unique and breathtaking view of the falls from the water. The boats are equipped with waterproof ponchos to keep you dry, as you’ll be sure to get wet from the mist created by the falling water.

In addition to the boat tours, there are also several walking paths and viewing platforms located near the Bridal Veil Falls that allow visitors to get up close and personal with the falls. From these vantage points, you can get a great view of the falls and feel the power and majesty of the water as it cascades down the cliff face.
